The article does contain a subtle factual error. It speaks of books published before a certain date, but in fact, the publication date of the book is irrelevant. It's the printing date of the copy being sold that matters.

It's still, of course, one of the most ridiculous things ever done in the name of consumer safety, and that's going some.

It will almost certainly not last (honestly, I don't see how it CAN last), so my advice is, if you have older children's books sitting around, just hang onto them for the time being. The whole thing will probably blow over in a few months.
