A New Look

So, yes. I had meant to sit down and write a new blog post tonight, while we sweltered here, and Deborah sewed, but the "customize your blog" button caught my eye, and... well, now I'm writing a post about how I didn't write a post.

What do you think of the new look?

UPDATE: OK, so the initial reaction to the shades-o'-blue scheme was rather underwhelming. I shall try again...

UPDATE 2: Can't please nobody. Back to the same-ol' same-old.

I love the photo of the bike and the lake in the sunset! I'm not so sure I like the dark background and white letters for the body of the blog, though. Too somber. There isn't any visual verification of letters. Does that mean my comment won't be posted, or does that mean you aren't protected against spammers?

I tend to think the old look was more inviting and easy to read. But what do I know?

I like everything but the parchmenty background texture.

Something in a muted orange or green would be better.

Love the bike and the lake w/sunset, but it doesn't fit your personality. It's too dark for you.

My $.02

The lighter gray is better than the dark blue, but I think it's still too somber, especially for the kind of posts you tend to put up. I guess I'm really a conservative at heart. I think the classic original was better.

Sometimes the "old" is better because it was well-chosen in the first place.
